AFC Bournemouth striker Joshua King believes the Cherries strikers have the ability to get the side back on winning form.

After opening his account for the season against Brighton & Hove Albion in the EFL Cup, Norwegian international King scored his first Premier League goal of the 2017/18 campaign away at Everton on Saturday.

His goal looked like it would be enough to take all three points, before two late goals from the home side took the spoils.

The Cherries are now looking towards the home game against Leicester City to record their next points of the Premier League season, following on from the previous home win against Brighton & Hove Albion where Jermain Defoe scored his first goal since his return to Dean Court.

King told afcb.co.uk following the Everton game…

‘…We had loads of chances. It`s our own fault that we didn`t win (at Everton). We should have put the game to bed but we didn`t take our chances. They put their chances away and have come away with the points…’

‘We know we win games by scoring goals. We`ve got a lot of good goalscorers in this squad, with myself and JD (Jermain Defoe). Benik (Afobe) and Lys (Mousset) are also very good finishers and we know the goals will come. Things just didn`t go our way in front of goal…”

‘…We`ve got a tough game coming up on Saturday against Leicester. The only aim for that game is to get three points…’
