AFC Bournemouth and England international midfielder Lewis Cook is reportedly odds-on to leave the Cherries this summer according to the bookies.

Back in February, Cook was linked with a move to Liverpool.

The report claimed that Liverpool were plotting a £20million move for Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook to replace Emre Can, however the Liverpool Echo stated that Liverpool have no interest in signing Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook adding that he does not appear ‘on Liverpool’s radar’.

Unsurprisingly, however, it would seem that he will feature on someone’s radar with Cook’s odds to leave Bournemouth this summer with Ladbrokes as short 1/2 with the Mirror adding…

“Cook made his England debut this year – scooping his granddad £17k on a bet – and has attracted the interest of clubs after an impressive campaign.”

It’s a year early. Needs another season starting every week and polishing off elements of his game such as decision making and off the ball positioning. Traits that only come with experience.

Given another season, he’ll be ready to move onto a top 6 club no question. But moving now would do more harm than good to him. Give him a deserved pay rise contract to reflect his status as one of our best players, and a gentleman’s agreement that if the right offer comes in next summer we’ll talk. Join the conversation
