AFC Bournemouth have announced a new five-year deal with kit supplier Umbro, extending a deal that initially began during the summer of 2017.

The deal means that the UK based sportswear brand will continue to provide bespoke home, away and third shirts, as well as the club’s training wear, which has also been released this weekend following a short delay due to global shipping problems.

AFC Bournemouth Commercial director Rob Mitchell told afcb.co.uk

“As a forward-thinking club, Umbro’s core values are directly aligned with ours,”

“We’re really pleased with how our relationship with Umbro has grown over the previous four years and look forward to not only creating more eye-catching kits but more success on and off the pitch.”

Sam Lucas, director of sports marketing at Umbro added…

“We’re really pleased to extend our partnership with AFC Bournemouth for the seasons ahead and we’re confident that with our close collaborative relationship with the club we will able deliver more lasting memories for Cherries fans.

“We can’t wait to see fans back in the stadium wearing the new 2021/22 strips that are on the horizon.”

With Umbro you’ll always get a bespoke playing kit, something that can’t be said of the big three brands or even the Carbrini kits. Chuffed to see a five-year deal.

Have always appreciated the quality of my Umbro stuff, so glad to see us extend the collaboration. Obviously, designs can divide opinion but that is not solely dependent upon the kit supplier. Any supplier can come up with something some of us don’t like but at least with Umbro, the ugly replica shirt you bought lasts well. – Join the conversation, click here.
