AFC Bournemouth captain Miles Addison believes that the Cherries new found confidence has helped the side find their recent run of form.

The Cherries have now won six of their last seven games following the announcement that Eddie Howe was returning to Dean Court following 21 months with Championship side Burnley.

Six of those games have come in League One, with the Cherries taking 16 points from a possible 18, climbing to 12th in the table from the relegation places and are now within 5 points of the play-offs.

AFC Bournemouth have also enjoyed a heavy goalscoring run with 19 goals scored in those 7 games, but it was the clean sheet against Doncaster that really pleased Addison.

Addison told the Daily Echo

“…Confidence is massive. The boys are trying passes that they maybe wouldn`t have tried a few weeks ago and they are coming off now.

“As a back four, we are relying on each other a lot more, which maybe a few weeks ago we wouldn`t have done. The big thing is we are playing more as a team.

“Last week, how hard the front six worked at Carlisle and how hard they have been working makes the back four`s job a lot easier. Seeing everyone putting in a shift and more is just brilliant for us at the back.”
