A Totally Different Club

Purches who spent 7 years at AFC Bournemouth before moving to Leyton Orient explained to the Daily Echo today that he is joining a ‘totally different club`

“I want to be part of a club that wants to achieve something and Bournemouth are certainly heading in the right direction”

Perhaps Purchey didn`t like the direction of the club when he left 3 years ago for Orient. He tells the local paper

” Looking back, leaving was probably the right decision for both me and the club?It was a worthwhile exercise and there are lots of things I can take into my second spell here”

The adaptable defender recognises the strength of the squad and hopes they can achieve something, by no means does he expect to walk into the starting eleven.

“I will be fighting for a place alongside everyone else and that is what drives you?Eddie is building a competitive squad and that is all you can ask. It is a tough division but you never know what can happen.”

It is certainly shaping up to be one of the most eagerly anticipated season starts in Cherries history.
