AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson is targeting building a relationship with all of the strikers within the Cherries squad.

AFC Bournemouth’s top goalscorer joined the club in the summer from Coventry City and has enjoyed an excellent first season on the south coast.

The striker who recently turned 23, has mainly partnered Yann Kermorgant this season with the pair scoring 31 goals in all competitions this season.

But the England Under 21’s striker would like to establish partnerships with Brett Pitman and Tokelo Rantie as well.

Pitman has scored 8 goals this season, whilst Tokelo Rantie has made just 13 appearances (no Championship starts) and has scored twice.

Wilson told the Daily Echo

“I think me and Yann complemented each other well against Wolves and I`m delighted that he scored a couple and that the relationship is starting to flourish.

“I want to build a partnership with every striker in the team so I can always have a chance of being selected and can make sure the manager is not worried about whether I can play alongside another striker.

“Myself and Bretty (Pitman) is a different sort of combination and I would like to get a good understanding with TK (Rantie) as well. Although we`re two number nines, who`s to say that we couldn`t play together?

“I don`t mind who I play alongside as long as we are playing well and winning games.”
