Former AFC Bournemouth captain Miles Addison has joined Championship struggler’s Blackpool on loan.

The Cherries defender initially joined the club on loan in February 2012 by former manager Lee Bradbury, before signing permanently under Bradbury’s replacement Paul Groves.

He went on to make 36 appearances before losing his place and captaincy shortly after Eddie Howe’s return to the club as manager.

Addison’s final appearance for AFC Bournemouth came in November 2012 after he struggled with injury.

Addison moved to League One side Rotherham United on loan in January 2014, but made just six appearances in Rotherham’s play-off push, including just four starts.

He starting this season on loan with Scunthorpe, but made just five appearances before returning to Dean Court with an injury.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, Addison recently told the Daily Echo ‘…I am more than capable of playing in League One and that is where I want to be…’

His loan spell with Blackpool is set for an initial one month period, but will not be permitted to feature against the Cherries at Dean Court on 14th March.
