Sean O’Driscoll questioned the second half penalty awarded to Tamworth yesterday that saw the Cherries humiliatingly dumped out of the FA Cup at the first round against non-League opposition.

After the match Cherries boss Sean O’Driscoll talked to Radio Solent saying ?The game was predictable. We knew that they were going to get everyone behind the ball. I think they had a couple of shots the whole game but we could have read that script before. We have got to keep them out, if those two shots go in then it?s going to be a struggle. We made the headlines last week for the right reasons and we will probably make them again this week for the wrong reasons.

‘We moved the ball as well as we could. I didn?t think we created enough first half and in the second half we upped the tempo up a little bit. We didn?t work their goalkeeper enough but we are not a physical side. We can?t just throw the ball in there because of their 6?4? centre half?s. I thought we were brave on the ball and on another day we could have scored two but credit to Tamworth. They came here to do a job, they didn?t come here to open out and get beat by five or six. As I say, their game plan was expected and good luck to them in the next round.

?I?ve seen it on the video replay and if it had been a red card then it would be rescinded? said Sean on the controversial penalty awarded to Tamworth in the second half. ?If it had been a yellow card then it would be rescinded but it?s a penalty and you can?t do anything about it. You would have to asked Marcus whether it was deliberate but on the video, as I said, if it had been a red card then the FA would rescinded that by Monday morning.

‘Forest will come here with a good reputation? said Sean looking towards next week?s game. ?I think they drew against Weymouth so they will be a little bit displeased with that but they are still in the hat and we?re not so back to the drawing board. Back to preparing and working hard for the next game.?
