Tamworth?s manager Mark Cooper was full of praise for his side?s victory at Dean Court yesterday.
Speaking to his club?s official site Cooper said: ?The team talk was basically go out there and try and get on Match of the Day. We were solid and played exactly to our game plan. It would have been pointless trying to chase the game so we allowed them to play with the ball at their feet and then cut out the danger in the last third, hoping for an opening.
?To be brutally honest the best we had hoped for was a draw, but a little bit of luck and lots of hard work gave us the rewards. From where I was on the pitch it looked like a handball for our penalty and obviously the referee gave it so we took the chance. I am over the moon for Kyle (Storer) and the other young lads out there today. Aaron Brown, and Dave Bampton were magnificent and Micky Touhy was outstanding, he had a great debut.’
