Southampton Manager George Burley has said that some of his strikers could be available for a loan move.

Meanwhile AFC Bournemouth manager Sean O’Driscoll has also admitted that he has made enquiries about the availability of some of the Southampton players.

Speaking to the Daily Echo Burley said…

‘We might loan one or two out Andrew Surman and Nathan Dyer last season were prime examples of what that can do.

‘Both went out on loan for first team experience and came back stronger for it and we’ll keep a close eye on that.’

The Echo reports that Gregorz Rasiak and Ricardo Fuller are expected to be the first-choice pairing, while Kenwyne Jones, Leon Best, Dexter Blackstock and David McGoldrick could be among those considered for a loan spell.

O’Driscoll added…

‘We have still got a good relationship with Southampton. It is a well-run club and we would be interested in several of their youngsters. It just depends which ones they are, whether they will improve the squad and, as usual, if we could afford them.’
