AFC Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has revisited the clubs plans for the new south stand.

The Cherries 50% owner has previously drawn up plans to include a hotel and spa complex, but the new revisions include a brand new facility, a £7million IMAX development to replace the unsuccessful and currently half torn down complex on Bournemouth seafront.

The proposal is expected to receive backing from the council, who will see the plans as beneficial to developing Kings Park, into an all year round leisure park, alongside the clubs new training facilities which are available for public use, the athletics ground, bowls and also the proposed Ice Skating stadium.

A Bournemouth council spokesperson told the media that the council wanted to also make use of the recently opened newly landscaped car park in the park and a development such as a new IMAX would fit perfectly into the towns long term vision.
