Championship side Burnley have confirmed they have completed the transfer of AFC Bournemouth striker Danny Ings.

Ings has signed a four year contract with Burnley and joins former AFC Bournemouth management duo Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall at Turf Moor.

The fee is undisclosed, but reports suggest that it should be in the region of £1million which would be a club a record.

Ings told burnleyfootballclub.com

‘Ed and Jason brought me through when I was first at Bournemouth and gave me the opportunity and it’s good to be back working with them, day-in, day-out to try and improve as a player,’ .

‘There were a few teams that were interested but the whole time there was interest there was only one place I wanted to be, with my old management team.

‘It means a lot to me that they are going to give me a chance and hopefully I can repay them.

AFC Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury told afcb.co.uk

“It’s obviously very disappointing to lose Danny as he is a good player with great potential, but it is a great deal for the club and one we could not turn down.”
