AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe insists he is not looking to sell any of his players, following reported interest from Crystal Palace in Benik Afobe.

According to a report earlier this month by The Sun, Crystal Palace were considering lining up a £15million bid for striker Benik Afobe.

It stated…

‘Roy Hodgson wants to sign out-of-favour Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe for £15million in January.

An anonymous Crystal Palace source told The Sun

‘Roy is a big fan of Benik`s from when he was playing for the England Under-21s.

‘With the club in a pickle at the foot of the table, it is difficult for him to find players to come to the club.

‘But he believes Benik would be perfect because he is not getting much game time at Bournemouth and would be a player that would be hungry for games.’

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe however insists that he is not interested in cashing in.

Howe told the Daily Echo

‘This window has historically come up with weird and wonderful rumours and bits I’m asked about but I have no intention of losing any of my squad.

‘I don’t know where these things come from but there’s certainly nothing on our side.’

I think it would be unwise to let him go now. Worst comes to worst and King and Wilson don’t develop good chemistry then it’d be nice to have our tried and tested partnership of King and Afobe to fall back on.Join the conversation here.
