AFCB boss, Eddie Howe, has said no talks have happened with Norwich City over Drew Surman joining the club on a permanent basis.

The 27 year-old midfielder impressed in The Championship after making 39 appearances for The Cherries, leading to strong suggestions that he may be purchased on a permanent basis.

However, with a year still on his Canaries deal, Howe knows it isn’t necessarily going to be a deal that is easy to finalise, if it is to happen at all. He told BBC Solent:

‘Andrew Surman did very, very well for us. He is Norwich’s player now so it is out of our hands what happens with his future. It is very much in the hands of his club and we respect that. We were very grateful to Norwich for giving him to us for a year and in the first place so we will certainly see what happens with him. We value him very highly.’

The manager has suggested he is aware who his summer targets will be, but as usual is coy on revealing too much, as he is conscience patience will be required on some if they are to come off.
