After ten games of the season any league table begins to take shape. In the Championship, this point comes at the end of September for the Cherries with the Football League releasing the fixture list for the upcoming 2021/22 campaign.

AFC Bournemouth will once again be one of the bookies favourites for promotion from the second tier of English football, alongside fellow play-off losers Swansea City and Barnsley and recently relegated Premier League sides Sheffield United, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham.

However, the Cherries only face two of the aforementioned sides during the opening ten games of the season, with West Bromwich Albion making the trip to Dean Court on the opening day of the season and Barnsley visiting the south coast on 11th September.

All three promoted sides from the third tier of English football will face AFC Bournemouth during the opening two months of the season, AFC Bournemouth host League One play-off winners Blackpool on 21st August before travelling to League One champions Hull City the following weekend on 28th August. On 28th September AFC Bournemouth travel to Peterbrough United.

The other sides that AFC Bournemouth will face during this period are Nottingham Forest, Birmingham City, Queens Park Rangers, Cardiff City and Luton Town.

A strong start to the campaign could really set up AFC Bournemouth a solid footing to once again try and claim promotion back to the Premier League.
