AFC Bournemouth winger Maxi Gradel reportedly wants to leave the Cherries at the end of the season.

In January it was reported that according to Gradel’s agent Desmond Tra, the Ivory Coast winger had handed in a transfer request to manager Eddie Howe.

Gradel was linked with French sides Marseille and Nantes and English sides Hull, Watford, Birmingham, West Ham and Burnley.

He however remained at Dean Court following the closing of the transfer window, but has seen his chances remain very limited.

This season he has made nine Premier League appearances, all coming via the substitutes bench and totalling just 106 minutes, with only 16 minutes coming since October 2016.

The BBC have reported…

‘Ivory Coast international Max Gradel has told BBC Sport he wants to leave Premier League side Bournemouth.

The report adds…

‘It is understood Bournemouth want to keep Gradel but he is worried his lack of opportunities will affect his international career.

I am positive Max could be huge for us, but he needs to convince Mr Howe and Tindal of it… His never really had long enough o the pitch to show what he can do, and 10/15 minute cameos just leave you running around like a headless chicken, trying to be everywhere and do everything…

He is very much someone who has fallen foul of our sh*te academy status and thus getting no real decent reserve opposition to get a) match fit and b) show the management what he can do…

The PL is unforgiving and you cannot ‘bed’ someone in, in this league (although Howe does seem to have persisted with some more than others)…

I really hope we can keep hold of him…
