AFC Bournemouth have again been linked with a move for former Chelsea and England captain John Terry.

During the January transfer window, following Chelsea’s decision to recall Nathan Ake early from his loan spell at Dean Court, AFC Bournemouth were linked with a reported enquiry over Terry’s availability (Previous article).

It was later reported that John Terry was to discuss a potential loan move to the south coast with AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe (Previous article).

No move transpired and John Terry remained at Stamford Bridge.

However the 36 year old hasn’t featured for Chelsea in the Premier League since November and it has now been announced that he will leave the probable Premier League champions at the end of the season.

ClubCall have reported that he could join AFC Bournemouth in the summer.

Terry told ClubCall

‘There will be opportunities for me to speak further about this over the coming weeks, I feel I still have plenty to offer on the pitch but understand that opportunities here at Chelsea will be limited for me.

‘I`m eager to carry on playing and so will be looking to continue with a new challenge. I will of course always be a Blue and am desperate to end my final season as a Chelsea player with more silverware.’

Severely doubt he’ll want to sign for another PL club. A short loan night have been one remotely possible if unlikely thing, a contract is another step. Why scrap with us, play against Chelsea, when he could earn 3 times more from a year in China. Or team up with Drogba in America.Join the conversation here.
