England tickets selling well

AFC Bournemouth have announced that 6,300 tickets have already been sold for the Under 18s tie between England and Slovenia.

The match is just under a week away (kick off 3pm, Bank Holiday Monday, 17th April) and the Main Stand and the East Stand have virtually been sold out with North Stand tickets being released today.

The England team will include local lad Adam Lallana who is from Bournemouth and is currently on the books at Southampton. Click here for full story.

Lallana was added to the squad last week, the full squad was released on the 5th April with 12 members of squad holding contracts with Premiership clubs. To view the squad Click here.

The FA’s decision to hold an International was met with delight by fans’ and AFCB staff members.

Chief Executive Laurence Jones said last month…

‘…They (The FA) particularly liked ambience of stadium, the fact it is a modern design and the right capacity level for such a fixture. The capacity requirement up to 10,000 and due to south stand we were able to provide that.

‘…The report they submitted concluded that we had a ‘very impressive venue’.’

He continued…

‘The FA are hoping the match will attract in the region of 10,000 fans. Many of them will be youngsters and many will also be attending The Fitness First Stadium for the first time.

‘…It will also give football fans from around the area to view the next generation of English talent in this, a World Cup year.’

If you haven’t bought tickets for the fixture yet, they are still priced at just £3 for adults (£5 on matchday) and £1 for U16s/OAPs.
