Gareth Stewart believes the busy Easter period will be good for the Cherries.

In previous seasons’ the Cherries have had a collapse in form over the Easter weeks which has seen Bournemouth’s play-offs hopes fall away.

But on this occasion Bournemouth ‘keeper Gareth Stewart thinks that Bournemouth’s good form is good and that will work as an advantage.

The Cherries have to play Walsall (A), Huddersfield (H), Port Vale (A) and Colchester (H) over the next 12 days but Stewart told afcb.co.uk

‘The games are coming thick and fast and that’s always positive when the form is good.

‘We haven’t been losing games, which is important for us in the situation we’re in. We’ve now got to start turning some of these performances into wins, but with the way we’ve been playing it’s always good to get another game in quickly so we can keep the momentum going.’

‘…The stability within the side has helped massively, especially as a goalkeeper. We haven’t conceded many goals of late, we’ve kept a couple of clean sheets and we’ve got big players who have been in this situation before.’

Speaking about the threat of relegation he added…

‘…It’s in our own hands, we know what we have to do and the confidence is much greater than it ever was back then (when the Cherries were relegated).’
