The draw for the fourth round of the FA Cup has been made, but AFC Bournemouth will have to wait to find out who they will face.

Portsmouth and Ipswich Town drew their third round tie with a replay set to be played on Tuesday 19th January.

The winners will host AFC Bournemouth over the weekend of Friday 29th January and 1st February.

If AFC Bournemouth face Ipswich Town they will come up against former AFC Bournemouth youth team graduate Brett Pitman, if the Cherries visit Portsmouth then they will come up against former favourite Danny Hollands.

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe told the Daily Echo

“Both teams are doing well in their respective divisions and it was clearly a very close encounter in the first game.

“I think the replay is impossible to call and whichever team goes through will provide us with formidable opposition in the fourth round.

“We played Ipswich four times in the Championship and drew every game. Everyone knows how much the Portsmouth fans get behind their team and Fratton Park is a very difficult venue for opposing teams.

“Again, we would have liked a home draw for our supporters but it promises to be an exciting tie whether we meet Ipswich or Portsmouth.”

Ipswich away would be an awful draw, a very tough game if we want to rotate and I wouldn’t want a raw fullback up against Fraser plus you’d have to back Pitman to score. Let’s hope its Pompey.Join the conversation here.
