AFC Bournemouth are delighted to announce global sports brand Umbro as their new technical kit supplier, in a club record deal.

Umbro will supply the Cherries` bespoke kit, replica and training wear for an initial five-year period, beginning with the 2017/18 season.

One of the world`s leading sportswear companies, Umbro has a long and successful history in football, both at home and abroad.

The Manchester-based firm currently supplies kit and training wear to more than 150 professional teams around the world, including fellow Premier League sides Everton, West Ham United and Hull City, current Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven, Vasco da Gama of Brazil and Gamba Osaka in Japan.

“This is an exciting and important deal,” explained AFC Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake.

“AFC Bournemouth is a forward-thinking, progressive club and our new partnership with Umbro, which is the biggest kit contract in our history, is the perfect example of that.

“Umbro are known for producing high-quality kits for both international and domestic sides, and our supporters can look forward to unique designs which have been created specifically with them in mind.

“I am delighted that we will be working together over the next five years as I believe Umbro are the perfect fit to support our growth as a club.”

Speaking about the new partnership, Umbro managing director Anthony Little said: “We`re delighted that AFC Bournemouth will be wearing the famous double diamond from the start of next season.

“They are an exciting club who have really made a mark on the Premier League over the last two seasons.

“I`m sure fans will love the bespoke kits we`ve created in partnership with the club, and we`re all looking forward to seeing them being worn by fans and players in the coming months.”

On Wednesday, Neill Blake was joined by AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe, captain Simon Francis and Umbro`s head of UK soccer, Simon Johnson, at Vitality Stadium, where a giant sand sculpture of the two logos was unveiled to celebrate the announcement.

The sculpture, which stands at two metres in height and three metres in width, was created over the course of two days by local sand artist Mark Sanderson, using 10 tonnes of sand.

AFC Bournemouth`s partnership with Umbro begins at the start of the 2017/18 season, with the club`s new kits being unveiled this summer.
