AFC Bournemouth under new head coach Andoni Iraola will head to Marbella for pre-season.

The warm-weather training camp had been announced prior to the departure of Gary O’Neil but will now see the squad travel to Spain under new leadership.

The Cherries squad will stay in Spain for just under two weeks and will play two pre-season friendlies at the Marbella Football Center.

The first will be against Scottish Premiership team Hibernian on Thursday 13th July, quickly followed by a game on Sunday 16th July against Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel.

When the Cherries return to England, AFC Bournemouth have announced that they will play two home friendlies. The first will be against Italian Serie A side Atalanta on Saturday 29th July at 3pm, whilst the following weekend will be a Foley Entertainment Group derby against French Ligue 1 side FC Lorient, who are partly owned by AFC Bournemouth owner Bill Foley. That game will kick off at 5pm on Saturday 5th August.

AFC Bournemouth are expected to announce further pre-season friendlies to their schedule later this week.

Would be tempted with better opposition but flights are more expensive this late. – To join the conversation, click here.
