Allen scores for Northern Ireland

Curtis Allen scored for Northern Ireland Under 19’s today against Championship hosts Belgium.

The goal came in a 3-2 defeat which saw former Cherries loan signing Daryl Fordyce score his fifth of the championship before being the second Northern Ireland player sent off.

Belgium had gone two goals up before Fordyce pulled one back and then Cherries striker Curtis Allen nodded home the equaliser, despite being a man down.

Fordyce and Belgium Goalkeeper Bolat then both saw red. But the 10 men of Belgium defeated the nine men of Northern Ireland with a 92 minute winner.

The defeat unfortunatly meant that Northern Ireland failed to progress through the group stages of the competition.
