AFC Bournemouth returned to Dean Court following the international break and welcomed Bristol City to the south coast.

AFC Bournemouth head coach Scott Parker selected an unchanged side following the 3-0 away victory over Huddersfield Town a couple of weeks ago.

The fears over Cherries goalkeeper Mark Travers were not realised, however, deputy Freddie Woodman was missing through illness, leaving youngster Will Dennis on the bench.

The Cherries came from behind with goals from Dominic Solanke, Lewis Cook and Sirike Dembele.

After the match, Parker told Sky Sports

“[Dembele] deserved it because he has been first class in the last two weeks. He has come into an environment and a culture that has been very different for Dems. He will say it has been difficult at times but he is starting to understand what we want from him. He is that guy that can be elusive and if you give him the ball, he can dribble one against one and cause people problems. It was a very good goal.

“I thought we were very good. We were disappointed to concede early from a set-piece but the team stuck to what we were about and were worthy of the three points. The game became a little bit edgy at the end but overall I was pleased with our performance. I was pleased with our mentality from start to finish.”

Really enjoyed this afternoon’s game a great Team performance from our team.

For me, that third goal from Dembele summed up this afternoon from our team.

Lewis Cook thoroughly deserved MOM as well as his goal.

Dominic Solanke tirelessly worked away again and came up with his fourth goal in 4 games.

Well done Scott Parker for two matches on the trot where our side showed true promotion form.

72 points tonight after 37 games under Scott Parker.

Eddie Howe’s Championship-winning side after 37 games had 69 points.

If anyone wants to find criticism, probably the way they scored their second goal with Conway having a free run down the wing, crossed and Weimann had a tap in.

Your say…

We were very very good … We committed bodies forward at every opportunity and were brave and on the front foot. Can forgive the nativity at the end as I’d far rather we made mistakes while bombing players forward than playing conservatively and not taking any risks. Obviously, we need to learn from it though. – Join the conversation, click here.
