AFC Bournemouth defender Marc Wilson has joined Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion on loan.

Wilson’s third spell Dean Court at appears to have ended prematurely after just three appearances, two in the EFL Cup and 1 in the FA Cup.

Wilson previously played for AFC Bournemouth during two loan spells in 2007. In total Wilson made 27 appearances, split across the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons.

He re-joined AFC Bournemouth in August 2016 for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £1.5million.

Between August 2010 and January 2016, Wilson made 176 appearances for Stoke including 146 Premier League appearances under former manager Tony Pulis and he has now been reunited with his former manager.

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe told afcb.co.uk

‘We were reluctant to lose another defender, However, in this situation we felt we could not stand in Marc`s way after the reasons he gave, which will remain private.’

So Wilson goes to WBA, who are arguably better than us so far this season, yet he can’t get a look in for us…

We end the transfer window weaker than when it started IMO…
