Team News for Northampton

Cherries Manager Kevin Bond will have more or less the same squad to choose from against Northampton as he did for last week’s Leyton Orient fixture.

Garreth O’Connor is still missing with a thigh strain and Marvin Bartley isn’t 100% from a groin problem. Shaun Cooper is set to miss out once again with the same injury.

Sam Vokes however will be in the reckoning after missing the last two matches through International duty. Josh Gowling had a scare in the week on the same knee he injured and missed most of his first season with. The central defender trained today though and will be available for selection on Saturday. Steven Foley is a long term absentee with a back injury.

Cherries had an extended training session Thursday morning ahead of Saturday’s vital home match. Kevin Bond told the press…

‘We’ve got one or two knocks, but there shouldn’t be anything serious enough to keep anyone out that was available last week.

‘The side we field won’t be a million miles away from last week, but I haven’t made my mind up yet so I’m going to have a look at it and see what will be the best side to play against Northampton.’
