Today it was revealed that Sport 8 would be the new owners of AFC Bournemouth after the club finally emerges from Administration.

At an afternoon press conference Jeff Mostyn introduced the new owners Paul Baker and Alastair Saverimutto (collectively known as Sport-6) to the gathered media.

The new owners join Jeff Mostyn and Steve Sly on the Cherries board, ably assisted by Director of Football Ted Sutton.

In the Solent Fans forum this evening the newer additions to the Bournemouth football club family Ted Sutton Savi and Paul Baker (nicknamed the Bear by Chester supporters) were joined by Jeff Mostyn, Kevin Bond and last season best player Danny Hollands to answer the fans questions.

Some of the highlight of the forum included:

A three year shirt sponsorship to be announced Monday – with an exciting name

The current board welcome Alan Pithers` future purchase and development of land around the ground. They see it as beneficial to the club.

An aim to achieve Championship football within 5 years

A relaxation of transfer embargo which allows Kevin Bond some movement in bringing in loanees and free transfers

Ted Sutton made it clear he felt he sees youth as the future and believes he and Kevin Bond share this vision. He wants to see more kids in Cherries shirts.

A set up of a food retailer and exciting movements in the club shop

The whole affair seemed reasonably good humoured and the Sport-6 team came across as enthusiastic and sincere.

Obviously due to the recent goings on Kevin Bond didn`t get to talk at length but when he did he explained he was happy to work with the new board, although would not comment on how he felt the Director of Football role would affect him until he had given it a go (unsurprising considering his good mate ‘Arry experiences)

Jeff, who fans have previously dubbed the ‘Daddy` ended the show by thanking the fans and Sport-6 and reaffirmed his vision of a bright future.
Although earlier in the evening it was not made clear whether the Daddy or The Bear would get the last say on critical decisions

Is the future bright, I hope so but the proof will be in the pudding?or in this case the Porridge..eh Daddy Bear?
