The continuing saga over the Sale of AFC Bournemouth has taken another twist today, as we learn that the only bid for the club has been withdrawn.

The bid, we understand was from the Adam Murray group. As it stands today there are no other offers on the table.

Current Cherries chairman Paul Baker is refusing to be drawn into commenting on the behind the scenes issues affecting the club. However, he does expect to recieve 2 more offers ‘imminently’.

Whenever I write stories, I have to try to remain impartial. But you have to question, what the hell is going on at the club?

Debts are mounting, the club are now being petitioned by HMRC for around £300,000 with a further £100,000 owed to revenue.

Wages are late, or not paid in full – despite 2 sell outs at the end of the season.

The PFA has been requested again to cover the shortfall in what the club can deliver, causing more unrest within the squad.

All of these problems are compounded by the fact that season ticket sales for next year have not started yet – meaning no revenue for the club outside of any sponsorship. It would be safe to assume that the money from the half price season tickets sold in December has been absorbed into the running costs of the club.

I’m not doom mongering, but when you look at the cold hard facts something needs to be done, and now.
