The AFC Bournemouth Official Website has confirmed that midfielder Andrew Surman has been recalled by Southampton, and will play his last game for the Cherries tomorrow at Southend.

Speaking to afcb.co.uk, manager Sean O’Driscoll said ‘Obviously we would have liked to have kept Drew for longer, but his form has been excellent and Southampton have noticed that’.

‘Drew has been first class in his time with us, he’s fitted in really well with the rest of the squad’.

Midfielder Drew Surman joined the Cherries on a 3-month loan deal at the start of the season and has made 26 appearances for the club, scoring 6 goals, his first on the opening day of the season – a last minute equaliser at MK Dons, and recently the winning goal at home to Gillingham.
