AFC Bournemouth goalkeeping coach Neil Moss and goalkeeping assistant coach Anthony White have both earned their UEFA Goalkeeping A Licence.
Following his retirement from professional football in 2008 following a wrist injury, Moss joined the coaching staff at AFC Bournemouth under Eddie Howe in the summer of 2009.
Since that time the Cherries have won three promotions. Finishing as runners-up in League Two in 2010, again as runners-up of League One in 2013 and as winners of the Football League Championship in 2015.
White only joined from Oldham Athletic in the summer, but the 24 year old has already impressed Moss during his short period on the south coast.
Both have earned their UEFA Goalkeeping A Licence following a 12 month course, which included two four day sessions at the national football centre at St. George`s Park.
Moss and White are among the first batch of 18 recipients of the qualification.
Moss told the Daily Echo…
“It was a great opportunity to work with other goalkeeper coaches – and we learned off each other as much as we did off the coach educators on the course,”
“And it gives you another network to go back to. It gives you contacts you can speak to. If your keeper is having a problem with certain things, it`s not just you trying to fix it. You have a lot of other people you can call up and speak to, who can give you help and advice when you need it.”
Discussing Anthony White he added…
“He`s a real high-achiever, He has a sports science background as well as being a keeping coach. Anthony has helped all the keepers at the club and I`m sure everyone has seen the form they have been in this season. He`s been a massive part of that.”
