AFC Bournemouth goalkeeping coach Neil Moss is pleased with the quality and standard of the Cherries current ‘keepers.

With AFC Bournemouth ‘keeper Ryan Allsop struggling for form before being struck down with glandular fever, the Cherries made the loan move for Lee Camp from Premier League side West Brom.

Back up ‘keepers Darryl Flahavan and Shwan Jalal have also both returned to the fold following injury (Flahavan) and a loan spell with Oxford (Jalal), whilst development goalkeeper Benji Buchel has also returned from his cruciate knee injury.

The Cherries had hoped to send Shwan Jalal and Benji Buchel out on loan prior to Allsop’s illness, with Moss now assessing the situation.

Moss told afcb.co.uk

“Rocky (Allsop) going down ill is disappointing but Darryl Flahavan is back now, He is back to around 100 per cent and with Shwan (Jalal) and Lee (Camp) involved in the squad at the moment, it gives us plenty of cover.

“Benji (Buchel) is one that I will look to make a few calls for and try and get him out on loan because he is coming on well.

“He was doing well at Dorchester before he had his cruciate knee injury, which was a nasty one.

“The manager has plenty of cover and options regarding who he wants in the squad and also who he can get out on loan for some game time.”
