Sky Sports are once again the exclusive home of the EFL Championship for the upcoming 2021/22 season. As a broadcaster of the Football League, they are excellent, however, sometimes their choices of television slots for some games can anger, to say the least, some supporters as there doesn’t appear to be much thought towards travelling supporters.

This is evident in the latest batch of games selected by Sky Sports for broadcasting.

The Cherries next Sky Sports appearance will be Wednesday night’s home game against Preston North End (7.45 pm kick-off), which is being shown on Sky Sports Football’s red button service and the Sky Sports app.

Coverage on Sky Sports Football’s red button service (and app) usually includes one static camera with one commentator. There are normally no replays of the action or multiple camera angles as these are available via EFL Clubs streaming services.

Then the trip to Derby County, which is now being played on Sunday 21st November at 12pm is being given the full Sky Sports service on Sky Sports Football.

When AFC Bournemouth travel to London to face Millwall on 24th November at 7.45 pm, the game will again be shown on Sky Sports Football’s red button service and the Sky Sports app.

AFC Bournemouth’s trip to Craven Cottage to face early promotion hopefuls Fulham is set to kick-off at 7.45 pm on Friday 3rd December with the game live on Sky Sports Football.

If a Sunday midday kick-off at Derby or Fulham on a Friday night weren’t difficult enough for you, how about a 12.30 pm kick-off in Middlesbrough? If that feels like a challenge you are up for then that game is on Saturday 18th December, if it’s not, then the match will be shown on Sky Sports Football.

Did you fancy a Boxing Day fixture in London this year? Shame, as our visit to Loftus Road to face Queens Park Rangers has been rearranged for Monday 27th December at 5.30 pm as that will also be shown on Sky Sports Football.

Due to those final two games being moved around over the festive period, two other home games, which are not on television have also had to have their dates changed.

The home game with Cardiff City will now be played on Thursday 30th December with a 7.45 pm kick-off and the match against Peterborough United is now set for 7.45 pm on Monday 3rd January 2022.

AFC Bournemouth have made a few appearances on Sky Sports already this season, starting with the opening game of the season against West Bromwich Albion at Dean Court and then again for the visit of Queens Park Rangers to the south coast. Three away games then followed with the trips to Stoke City, Peterborough United (red button) and Reading all shown on television.

This season’s FA Cup will be exclusive to both the BBC and ITV, meaning all games will be free-to-air on terrestrial television.

Always seems to be our away games that are rearranged. Home teams get £100,000 for a TV game, the away team only £10,000. – Join the conversation, click here.
