With the Cherries performing with a wafer-thin squad Bournemouth youth player James Rowe, who has appeared twice for the Cherries, has been recalled from his time with Ryman League side Lymington and New Milton, the Bournemouth Daily Echo reports.

Rowe has been spending time with the Linnets after recovering from injury and has been called back to bolster the squad ahead of Scunthorpe’s visit for the Bank Holiday Monday League One fixture (Kick off 3:00pm).

With Drew Surman returning to Southampton the Cherries have been left a man short in midfield and, with Stephen Purches expected to make start first since the LDV defeat at Walsall, the Cherries could do with the extra cover – just in case.
