AFC Bournemouth ‘keeper Shwan Jalal is hopeful that Cherries manager Eddie Howe will continue to rotate his side for the FA Cup games.

Shwan Jalal has played in all three cup competitions this season. Under Paul Groves, Jalal was selected for the first round penalty shoot-out defeats to both Oxford in the League Cup and Portsmouth in the Football League Trophy.

He lost his place following the signing of David James in October but was selected by Eddie Howe for the FA Cup first round win over Dagenham & Redbridge and the second round victory over Carlisle.

Jalal hasn’t featured in the league since September but he’s open to impress if he’s given the chance.

Jalal told the Daily Echo

“I am keen to play and itching to get back in the team. The team have been absolutely fantastic.

“To play against a Premier League team like Wigan, everybody wants to be in the team. But I am just training hard and, hopefully, I will be selected on Saturday.

“You kick every ball with the team and you want the team to win. There is disappointment not to be involved but I think that is the way the manager wants everybody to be. They want the hunger to get back in the side and I am no different…’
