AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe was disappointed with the heavy defeat away to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham were in search of a victory to put the pressure back on Chelsea in the chase for the Premier League title.

AFC Bournemouth were looking to add to an undefeated run away from home which had seen points earned against Manchester United, Southampton and Liverpool.

But the Cherries would go on to concede four, whilst only registering one shot on target throughout the 90 minutes.

AFC Bournemouth however remain seven points clear of relegation at the bottom end of the Premier League table.

Howe told Sky Sports

‘We weren’t great today, if I’m being honest. I thought it was summed up really by the quality of goals we conceded, When you come here, you know it’s going to be difficult and they are going to have a lot of the ball and ask questions of your back four but we conceded two goals from corners today.

‘The second goal we had a lot of possession of the ball and the third goal I was disappointed with as well so overall, I think that’s the big disappointment.

‘Technically, they are a very good team. They have really good rotations in their team and are very difficult to get the ball off, but I think the stand-out thing from them is how hard they work and how they limit your possession of the football. It is hard to get it back off them…’

‘…It (Premier League survival) is in our hands, If you look at the fixture list with the run we’ve had in the last few weeks, we knew it would be tough.

We weren’t great today but you have to credit Tottenham in a big way for how they didn’t let us play.
They didn’t give the ball away and when they didn’t have the ball they pressed us so quickly that they pushed us into rushed/bad passing .
Out of Possession we did seem to chase the ball a bit too much rather than keeping a eye on the opposition IMO
