AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves has declared that he and assistant Shaun Brooks will be working hard to produce a team that the fans will enjoy watching.

Since taking over from former manager Lee Bradbury on a temporary basis in March, the players have discussed that Groves has brought a clear emphasis that he wants his side to get the ball down and play a style of football that the fans want to watch.

During his first eight games in charge in a caretaker capacity there wasn’t always clear evidence of this, however now that Groves has been appointed manager on a permanent basis, the former youth team coach can now focus on the longer term objective of getting his side to play and perform how he wants.

Groves told the Daily Echo

“We will work extremely hard to try to produce a football team here that work very hard in terms of the hours they work and the days they work. From that point of view, that will be a guarantee.’

‘We will be professional, we will look at every little bit of detail and look to constantly improve on every aspect to keep moving things forward…’

‘…We will be looking for them (the fans) to support us and to give them something to look forward to in terms of a brand of football they will enjoy and a team that gets the ball down to play, passes, keeps it on the floor and looks to hurt the opposition.”
