AFC Bournemouth have signed their first player of the summer with Jamal Bajandouh joining the club from Southern Division One South & West club Wimborne Town.

19 year old Jamal Bajandouh was born in Bournemouth but joined Wimborne Town in February after playing in Saudi Arabia.

While awaiting international clearance to sign for Wimborne, Jamal trained with the Cherries youth team and has now joined the club with a view to play for the new development side, which is being created to bridge the gap between the youth team and the first team.

Head of the AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust Steve Cuss, who is also manager of Wimborne told wimbornetownfc.co.uk

“Jamal has signed for AFC Bournemouth`s new development squad.

“Last season we had three Cherries players – Dan Strugnell, Alex Parsons and Josh Wakefield – here on loan. And they all went on to make their first team debuts at AFC Bournemouth following their spells with Wimborne.

“We hope that trend will continue.”
