Popular defender Josh Gowling has received the all clear over his knee injury.

Gowling injured his ACL in October and has been out injured ever since.

But during the opening 3 months of the season Josh impressed enough to earn himself a new 2 year contract with the club and now he is set to return to the first team in July for the build up to the new season.

Speaking to the Daily Echo Josh said…

‘The people at Lilleshall said I was fine to do everything now. I’ve been there about six times and was due to go back next month but they said there wasn’t really any need to.’

‘…The knee feels fine. I don’t feel anything when I’m exercising, but it does ache a little afterwards. They worked me quite hard at Lilleshall and I was doing everything – twisting, turning and sprinting, so that was good.

‘…I haven’t played for seven months and can’t wait to get back into it. I’m really looking forward to it.’

‘The way it’s looking, I would hope to be fully fit for the start of the season and, fingers crossed, it’s all behind me now.

‘…I’m really looking forward to the start of pre-season and, to be honest, I don’t really care who we play, I just want to play some part in the games.’
