AFC Bournemouth picked up their second win at the home of Bristol Rovers this season.

The Cherries lined up with three Reading players in the starting eleven.

Pearce and Henry joined Karacen on Friday, after AFC Bournemouth favourite Neil Young left the Cherries to join Weymouth on loan.

Bristol Rovers were looking for their first win at home this season, while the Cherries were obviously looking for some points to try and get off the bottom spot in league one.

Moss started in goal with Telfer and Gowling joining the two Pearce`s in defence.

Henry played on the wing, while Anderton, Hollands, Karacen and Kuffour played in the midfield, with Lee Bradbury appearing as the lone figure up front.

In an even first half, the Cherries gradually got on top of the game and took the lead moments before half time.

Unselfish play from Jo Kuffour with a chipped pass set up James Henry to score with his head, on his Cherries debut.

The goal gave the Cherries the lead, frustrating the home crowd and with an uneventful second half ticking away, Rovers tried to push forward in search for an equaliser, but Moss was solid at the back on more than one occasion.

James Henry secured the points in injury time. The Reading youngster rounded the goalkeeper and put the ball home for his brace.

The Rovers fans chanted ‘What a load of rubbish’. As the Cherries played out the final moments for an important three points.
