AFC Bournemouth have arrived in Madrid for a mini break in the Spanish capital.

Following the Cherries 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Monday night, AFC Bournemouth have 12 days before they are next in action.

The Cherries travel to West Bromwich Albion on 25th February, still in search of their first win in 2017.

AFC Bournemouth defender Steve Cook told the Daily Echo

‘I think it will be good for the lads. It will be change of scenery. I`m not sure it will be too much warmer than it is here, but I think it is about getting us away, getting us together and making the team spirit even stronger.

‘It is another experience for us. We have 10 days to prepare for our next game and to get all the lads back fit – and to get us firing again.

‘It will be a nice trip, although it will be very hard. I have just seen the schedule and it looks extremely demanding, so it will be good.’

Makes a lot of sense, we all know our team is solar powered hence the poor Jan and Feb almost every year

Got the weekend off might as well get out there, get fully charged up and aim to end the February blues a few days early. Perhaps those carry knocks can bob over to the Trevis fountain or wherever it is in Rome that we normally go these days (Villa Stuart)
