Cherries beat Wimborne

AFC Bournemouth claimed their second victory of the pre-season campaign with a 2-0 win over Wimborne Town.

James Coutts and Conal Platt picked up the goals either side of half time.

Here is what message board regular Cherry_Brandy thought of the match…

‘I became a big fan of Platts after about 5 minutes. Fair enough, I’ve only seen him in one friendly now, but I can’t speak highly enough of him. Hollands too impressed me. Taylor has great pace, but only impressed in flashes. It was great to see Wazza back to his old self, starting the first half as captain, making some great runs. Couttsy scored a fantastic goal in the first half and was also making some great moves in the second until he got taken off injured. Hopefully it’s not too bad, I’d forgotten how good he was as he’s never been given much of a chance by SOD. Pictures to follow, when I can get them uploaded

. Shaun Maher went off after about 15 mins. Looks like his heel again.

. Fletch has lost a lot of weight. A LOT. I would like to know his secret.

. Warren Cummings was subbed about 20 mins before the end. Then walked around half the pitch topless. You will find that my sketchy match report misses anything that happened during that period grrrrrrrrrrrr made an old woman very happy 😀 ‘
