AFC Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury had no complaints over the last minutes penalty decision against Rochdale.

The Cherries looked set to return to Dean Court with a second consecutive no score draw away from home, until Harry Arter conceded a stoppage time penalty.

Gary Jones stepped up in the 92 minute to give the home side three vital points and lift them off the bottom of the League One table.

The result leaves the Cherries with back to back defeats, without a win in three fixtures, but remain in 8th place, four points behind the play-offs.

Bradbury told the Daily Echo

“They made it very difficult for us and they are fighting for their lives. They showed great character and stopped us playing and with Gary Jones playing in behind Akpa Akpro, he caused us a few problems.

“I think a draw would have been a fair result, but having looked at the penalty, it was the right decision…”

‘…We have a very tough run of games coming up and I think once we come out of that batch of games, we will know where we are going to be…’
