AFC Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond has lost his battle to try and bring striker Lee Bradbury on loan to Dean Court.

The Cherries Boss has wanted to bring in another striker since the departure of Leon Best to Southampton.

Bradbury, a 31 year old forward, is currently with Southend United, his 12th professional club.

Speaking to the Daily Echo Bond said…

‘As recognised strikers, we’ve only got Steve Fletcher and James Hayter. Brett Pitman did well when he came on against Carlisle, but he’s a young boy and hasn’t had much experience. It’s a big ask, given the situation we’re in.

‘I know what Lee’s all about because I’ve worked with him on two separate occasions. He is somebody who would interest me but he’s a Southend player and that’s where they want him to remain.’
