The first half was horrific, I’ve seen us play pre season friendlies with ten times the intensity that we showed in that half. Completely unacceptable, we barely even attempted to lay a glove on them, we just stood and watched them knocking the ball about at will.

Second half was the polar opposite. The substitutes immediately gave us an energy and intensity that had been lacking in the first half, and all of a sudden Fulham no longer looked like world beaters once we started to press them and make it difficult for them to play out. Funny that.

After the match, AFC Bournemouth head coach Gary O’Neil told Sky Sports

“I felt that energy in the dressing room that even if we went 1-0 down today there would be a refusal to lose that football match.

“We’re so determined to get to where we want to get to. It was impressive from my players.”

Speaking to the Daily Echo he added…

“…Any credit I get for the turnaround, I equally deserve criticism for the way the game started…”

“…giving a good side like Fulham a one-goal lead will cost you more often than not.

“We managed to wrestle it back and win the game today, but we need to perform well for the whole 90 obviously if we can.”

Nice set of results, of the six pointers Palace winning was preferred. It would have been nice for Wolves to nick it, but Forest dropping points at home will hurt them. We need to keep teams between us and the drop, keeping winning at home. – To join the conversation, click here.

Wow. Game of 2 halves never been more apt. Still not sure how we managed to get it SO tactically wrong first half but at least GON made the changes early and it paid off. If Tav is fit, he MUST play every game. We have to hit teams from the off. The 2nd half is a blueprint to survival. – To join the conversation, click here.
