AFC Bournemouth defender and former Captain Neil Young was glad to return to Dean Court.

The 34 year old enjoyed his time with Jason Tindall’s Blue Square Premier side, but Young was just happy to get the chance to play for Bournemouth again.

Young told the Daily Echo

‘I’m glad to be back because it would have been a great shame if I hadn’t got the chance to play for Bournemouth again.

‘I enjoyed playing for Weymouth and was surprised by the standard of the Conference. I’m a lot fitter now than I was when I left and it was good to get some games under my belt…’

While Cherries ‘manager’ Kevin Bond added…

‘As I said to him at the time, it was always my intention for him to go out and get some games because he was desperately in need of them…’
