AFC Bournemouth winger Jaidon Anthony has joined Burnley on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The 24-year-old teams back up with former AFC Bournemouth head coach Scott Parker, who won promotion with the Cherries during his first season at the club in 2022.
Anthony joined the Cherries as a teenager in 2016 after coming through the youth academy at Arsenal.
He made his Football League debut in December 2020, coming on as a 71st-minute substitute against Preston North End in the Championship. He would go on to make seven appearances in all competitions during that season. But during the 2021/22 campaign, Anthony would enjoy great success.
His first start came in July 2021 in a 5-0 win over the side from stadium:MK in the Football League Cup and his first league start came just days later against West Bromwich Albion.
Anthony would go on to make 48 appearances in all competitions, scoring 8 championship goals and claiming 7 assists. His 3,265 minutes of league football is more than he has managed in the following three seasons combined and that form during that promotion-winning campaign is probably what has convinced Parker to want to work with him once again.
We are delighted to have announced the signing of AFC Bournemouth winger Jaidon Anthony on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
The forward flourished under Head Coach Scott Parker during the 2021/22 season on the South coast and will now reunite with his former boss 🙌

Anthony will be hoping for a better spell out on loan than what he achieved with Leeds United in the Championship during the last campaign.
Whilst Anthony chalked up 38 appearances for Leeds United during the 2023/24 season, only 2 of those came as starts in the league.
Meanwhile, AFC Bournemouth midfielder Hamed Traorè has also left the Cherries on a season-long loan move, with the 24-year-old making the move to French Ligue 1 side Auxerre.
