AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson is reportedly set to be a £25million target for West Ham United next month.
The Guardian have made the claim, reporting…
‘Wilson has emerged as Slaven Bilic`s main priority in the January transfer window’ adding ‘West Ham United are preparing an offer worth up to £25m’.
It would be the second time West Ham United have made a formal bid for Wilson after the Cherries received an offer of £25million for both Wilson and Matt Ritchie ahead of AFC Bournemouth’s rearranged fixture against Manchester United at the end of last season.
That bid was rejected by AFC Bournemouth, with Cherries manager Eddie Howe disappointed at the timing of the transfer bids.
Over the summer, Matt Ritchie would eventually leave Dean Court for a move to Newcastle United, whilst Callum Wilson went on to sign a new four year deal on the south coast.
‘Personally I would take £25m for Wilson now. I wonder if the stories are just the usual rumours or more to it than that? Surely Wilson needs to get back to his best fitness in a supportive environment than jump ship to clubs that would also be struggling? – Join the conversation here.
