Whilst away on international duty with the Netherlands, AFC Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake has been quizzed on rumours linking him with a January transfer window move to either Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur.

The 23-year-old featured for the final 13 minutes for his country on Saturday night, coming on when the match was evenly poised at 1-0.

However, by the time the final whistle had blown, the Netherlands had beaten Germany 3-0 in the UEFA Nations League.

The result leaves their respected table in the competition evenly matched with France leading on 4 points, the Netherlands on 3 points and Germany with 1 point.

But following the report of interest from two of the English Premier League’s biggest clubs just days earlier in tabloid newspaper, The Daily Star  and that both Jose Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino were potentially interested in making a move as soon as the upcoming January transfer window, that subject is what Ake was quizzed about post-match.

Ake was speaking to Dutch media outlet Voetbal International and has been quoted by Tribal Football.

He said…

“They are rumours.

“I am at Bournemouth and I play at the club. Everything goes well and my focus is on that.

“Of course Tottenham and Manchester United are big clubs in England, but again, I have heard nothing myself.

“We will see.”

Your say…
