AFC Bournemouth assistant manager Jason Tindall believes that the international break will have been a benefit to striker Tokelo Rantie.

The Cherries record signing travelled to Africa during the international break to represent South Africa against Morocco in an international friendly.

Rantie opened the scoring for South Africa inside the opening nine minutes with his pace breaking through the Moroccan defence before he slotted the ball past the ‘keeper with his left foot.

Tindall believes the goal will give Rantie some confidence and believes that his first goal for the Cherries will not be far away.

Tindall told the Daily Echo

“We all know goals breed confidence for strikers. It was great for Tokelo to go away with South Africa and get a goal. What a great goal it was as well and it typified him. He showed a great turn of speed to outpace the backline and it was a really good finish.

“Hopefully, that will give him a lift and confidence. He is yet to get off the mark for us but we are sure his first goal isn`t too far away…’
