Tindall: Playing catch up

AFC Bournemouth assistant manager Jason Tindall wants the squad to remain focused as they play catch up in this seasons League One promotion race.

When Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall were announced as the Cherries management team for a second spell, AFC Bournemouth were 21st in the league table with just 8 points from 11 games following four successive defeats.

Buoyed by Howe and Tindall’s presence in the ground, the Cherries won against Leyton Orient at Dean Court and with Howe and Tindall in the dugout, AFC Bournemouth have continued their good run of form with four wins from five (including the FA Cup win over Dagenham).

The Cherries have now climbed to 12th in League One with 21 points, six points behind the play off places.

Tindall told the Daily Echo

‘You will only be successful by being consistent in your results and performances. That was our aim.

“We are playing catch-up in terms of points and we have just got to continue that level of performance and momentum, and make sure we stay focused for every training session and every game that we play.

“If we can manage to do that then, hopefully, we can continue the positive results and who knows where that may take us?”
